2009, July – Greg Carpenter Concrete, Inc. awarded contract for Tracy HS Renovation & New Construction-Cafeteria and Library
Greg Carpenter Concrete Inc. (GCCI) was recently awarded the contract for the new construction at Tracy High School. The project starts in September 2009 and consists of a 24,400sf tiltup concrete building for the cafeteria, a 2-story 26,300sf tiltup concrete building for a library/classroom and sitework. The General Contractor is Roebbelen Contracting, Inc.
2009, July – Greg Carpenter Concrete, Inc. awarded contract for Sylvan Union School District Corporation Yard Expansion in Escalon, CA.
Greg Carpenter Concrete Inc. (GCCI) was recently awarded the contract for site and structural concrete. Work on the job started in July 2009. The General Contractor is C.T. Brayton & Sons, Inc.
2009, June – Greg Carpenter Concrete, Inc. awarded contract for General Purpose Warehouse for the Department of the Army
Greg Carpenter Concrete Inc. (GCCI) was recently awarded the contract to build a general purpose warehouse at Tracy Defence Depot, Tracy, California. The warehouse is a 480,000 sq ft tiltup concrete building. Work on the job will start in August 2009. The General Contractor is Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.
Greg Carpenter Concrete, Inc. Completes the south-wing addition of Lodi Memorial Hospital
Greg Carpenter Concrete Inc. (GCCI) recently completed all of the concrete work on the new four-story South Wing at Lodi Memorial Hospital. The new addition greatly expands Lodi’s in patient service capacity and will be opening in 2010.
Greg Carpenter Concrete, Inc. Supervisor Receives Sirius Award for 20 Foremen
Buck Baca was recently awarded the Sirius Safety Award from Opus West Construction Corporation. A plaque was given to Buck for his attention to safety at the Opus Logistics Center. His outstanding attitude toward the project milestones, quality, safety and outstanding teamwork philosophy were the basis for the decision by Opus Construction to honor Buck. Opus recognized “Buck’s attitude and his moral courage to attend to the needs of both our companies” as the basis of the decision to recognize his efforts.
This award is presented to a select few who represent the “bright stars” in the construction industry (Siris is the bightest star in the sky).
Opus Construction also recognized Mike Johnson, GCCI Safety Director, for his excellent guidance and for promoting teamwork and cooperation for all.
